Install Systems Accelerator Templates

Learn how to import Systems Accelerator templates into Company Operations and activate them as your team's SOPs.

Written by Support

šŸ“‹ Overview

When you subscribe to the Systems Accelerator, Structur imports over 100 pre-built SOP templates directly into your Company Operations library. These templates cover all seven core systems of a construction business: Marketing, Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Field Management, Office Management, and Bookkeeping. They arrive ready to use, but the real value comes from making them your own.

This article walks you through how to find your imported templates, customize them for your company, and roll them out to your team. Whether you are setting up SOPs for the first time or replacing informal processes, the SA templates give you a proven starting point instead of a blank page.

Each template is built around how construction companies actually operate. You will find step-by-step checklists, decision flowcharts, training quizzes, and scoring tools already structured and formatted. Your job is to review, adjust, and activate them so your team can start using them on the job.

šŸ” Understanding Your SA Template Library

⚔ What It Does

  • Imports 100+ pre-built SOP templates organized by the seven core systems of your construction business

  • Provides ready-to-use documents including Rich Text SOPs, Flowcharts, Checklists, Quizzes, Custom Forms, and Scorecards

  • Covers every major department from field management and estimating to bookkeeping and office operations

  • Gives your team a consistent reference point for how work gets done at your company

  • Reduces onboarding time by giving new hires documented procedures from day one

  • Supports accountability by creating checkable, trackable processes rather than undocumented expectations

šŸ“… When to Use It

  • You just subscribed to the Systems Accelerator and want to activate your templates for the first time

  • You are onboarding a new hire and need a structured training path in Company Operations

  • A department is running inconsistently and you want to formalize how they operate

  • You are preparing for a growth phase and want documented processes in place before you scale

  • You want to replace a verbal or email-based SOP with something your team can follow inside Structur

šŸ“ Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Company Operations

  1. Log in to your Structur account at app.structur.com

  2. Click Company Operations in the left navigation

  3. Your full library of imported SA templates is organized by system folder: Marketing, Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Field Management, Office Management, and Bookkeeping

Note: If you do not see your SA templates after subscribing, contact Structur support. Template import is automatic but may take up to 24 hours after your subscription is activated.

2. Review Your Templates by System

  1. Open each of the seven system folders in Company Operations

  2. Click through each template to see the format and content

  3. Flag the templates that apply to your business right now versus ones you can activate later

  4. Note any templates where the default content does not match how your company operates

Tip: Start with the system that causes the most pain on your team. For most GCs, that is either Estimating or Field Management. Getting one system running well builds momentum for the rest.

3. Customize Rich Text SOPs

Rich Text documents are your plain-language written procedures. They explain what to do, who does it, and how.

  1. Open a Rich Text SOP from your template library

  2. Click Edit to enter editing mode

  3. Replace placeholder content with your company-specific details: role names, software names, your preferred steps, timelines, and contacts

  4. Remove any steps that do not apply to your operation

  5. Add any steps or notes that are specific to how your team works

  6. Click Save when done

Note: Do not delete the original template structure. Edit it in place. If you want to preserve the original, duplicate the template before editing by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Duplicate.

4. Adapt Flowcharts for Your Processes

Flowcharts visualize decision trees and process flows. SA templates include flowcharts for common scenarios like estimating approval, change order routing, and subcontractor onboarding.

  1. Open a Flowchart template from your library

  2. Click Edit to open the flowchart editor

  3. Review each decision point and step in the flow

  4. Update role names, approval thresholds, and routing logic to match your company structure

  5. Delete branches that do not apply to your workflow

  6. Click Save when done

5. Activate Checklists for Recurring Tasks

Checklists are ideal for daily, weekly, or job-phase tasks that need to happen consistently every time.

  1. Open a Checklist template from your library

  2. Review each item in the checklist

  3. Edit item text to match your specific process names, tools, and standards

  4. Add or remove items as needed

  5. Save the updated checklist

  6. Assign the checklist to the relevant team member or role in the Assigned To field

Tip: Pre-construction and job closeout checklists deliver the most immediate value. These are the phases where things most commonly get missed.

6. Set Up Quizzes for Team Training

Quizzes let you test whether your team understands a process after reviewing it. SA includes quizzes tied to key SOPs.

  1. Open a Quiz template from your library

  2. Review each question and answer option

  3. Edit questions to reflect your company-specific process details

  4. Update the correct answer if your process differs from the SA default

  5. Save the quiz

  6. Assign it to a team member as part of onboarding or process rollout by clicking Assign

7. Configure Custom Forms and Scorecards

Custom Forms capture structured input from your team, like daily reports or inspection entries. Scorecards let you track performance against defined standards.

  1. Open a Custom Form or Scorecard template

  2. Review the fields or scoring criteria included

  3. Add, remove, or rename fields to match what you actually need to capture

  4. For Scorecards, update the scoring thresholds and criteria labels to reflect your performance standards

  5. Save the updated form or scorecard

Note: Custom Forms and Scorecards are most effective when tied to a specific repeating workflow, like a weekly job site inspection or a monthly bookkeeping review.

⭐ Best Practices

  • Activate one system at a time -- trying to roll out all seven systems at once overwhelms your team. Pick the highest-pain system, get it running, then move to the next one.

  • Edit before you share -- template content is a starting point, not a finished product. Customize every SOP to reflect how your company actually operates before you assign it to anyone.

  • Use your SA coaching calls -- your subscription includes group or 1:1 coaching calls depending on your tier. Bring your template rollout questions to those calls.

  • Assign templates to specific roles, not just individuals -- when you assign a checklist or quiz to a role rather than a person, it stays relevant when team members change.

  • Document exceptions -- if your team regularly handles a scenario the template does not cover, add it. Living SOPs are more valuable than static ones.

  • Review templates quarterly -- your processes will change as your company grows. Build a habit of reviewing your top SOPs every quarter and updating them when your workflow shifts.

  • Train before you enforce -- walk your team through each SOP before holding them accountable to it. Run the quiz, review the checklist together, and answer questions first.

ā“ Common Questions

Q: Where do I find my SA templates after they are imported?

A: Navigate to Company Operations in the left navigation of your Structur account. Your templates are organized in folders by system: Marketing, Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Field Management, Office Management, and Bookkeeping.

Q: Can I edit a template without losing the original?

A: Yes. Before editing, click the three-dot menu on any template and select Duplicate. Edit the duplicate and keep the original as a reference.

Q: What is the difference between a Rich Text SOP and a Checklist?

A: A Rich Text SOP explains a process in detail, including context, responsibilities, and step-by-step instructions. A Checklist is a shorter, task-oriented format for recurring actions that need to be checked off each time. Use both together: the SOP explains the why and how, and the checklist enforces the consistency.

Q: Can I create my own SOPs from scratch instead of using the templates?

A: Yes. In Company Operations, click New and choose the element type you want to create. You are not limited to the SA templates.

Q: How many templates come with the Systems Accelerator?

A: The SA includes over 100 pre-built SOP templates covering all seven core systems. All Accelerator subscribers receive the full template library on import.

Q: Can I share a specific SOP with one team member without sharing everything?

A: Yes. Use the Assign function on individual templates to send them to specific team members.

Q: What happens to my templates if I cancel my SA subscription?

A: Templates imported into your Company Operations library are permanent. You keep them even if your SA subscription ends. What expires is access to the coaching calls, the Slack community (on Growth and Elite tiers), and any future templates added to the SA library.

Q: Can I install an SA template if I already have a template with the same name?

A: Yes. Structur allows you to install SA templates even if a template with the same name already exists. Both appear as separate items. Rename one of them after installing to keep your library organized.
