Translating Structur - Read the Platform in Your Language Using Chrome

Structur is built in English, but your team doesn't have to work in English to use it. Google Chrome has a built-in translation tool that converts any webpage into your preferred language in seconds, no extensions, no extra software, and no cost. Everything on the screen updates instantly, including menu labels, button names, field titles, and content.

This is especially useful for field crews, subcontractors, and team members who are more comfortable working in a language other than English. The translation runs entirely inside Chrome and does not change anything in your Structur account. Your data, settings, and project information stay exactly the same. Only the display language changes, and only for you on your own device.

Chrome's translation covers the full Structur interface well. Navigation labels, module names, form fields, and page content all translate cleanly.

Chrome's translation is most useful when you want to help a team member who reads better in a language other than English, review Structur yourself in your preferred language, onboard field crew or subcontractors who are not English-speaking, or quickly check how a page reads in another language before sharing it.

Note: Chrome's built-in translation works on any page in Structur. You can trigger it from any screen, you do not need to start from a specific page.

A small translation bar appears near the top of the page.

Note: If you do not see Translate in the menu, make sure Google Translate is enabled in Chrome settings. Go to the three-dot menu, select Settings, click Languages on the left, and confirm that Use Google Translate is turned on.

The translation bar shows the detected language of the page (English) and your Chrome default language.

Structur reloads and displays in your chosen language.

Note: If you want to translate to your Chrome default language, you can click Translate directly in the bar without choosing another language first.

The page returns to English immediately.

Q: Does translating Structur change any of my data or settings?

A: No. Translation is display only and runs entirely inside your browser. Your Structur account, project data, settings, and saved content are not affected in any way.

Q: Will translation carry over automatically when I navigate to a new page?

A: Usually yes, Chrome remembers your translation preference for the current session. If a new page loads in English, click the Translate icon in the Chrome address bar to re-apply translation.

Q: Does every team member need to set up translation separately?

A: Yes. Translation is a browser-level setting that applies only to the device and Chrome profile where it is activated. Each team member sets it up on their own device.

Q: Can I set Chrome to always translate Structur automatically?

A: Yes. After translating a page, click the Translate icon in the address bar and select Always translate English. Chrome will then translate Structur automatically every time you open it.

Q: Does this work on Chrome for mobile?

A: Yes. Chrome on Android and iOS both support page translation. Tap the three-dot menu in Chrome, select Translate, then choose your language. The steps are slightly different on mobile but the result is the same.

Q: What if Chrome translates something incorrectly?

A: Chrome uses Google Translate, which handles Structur's interface well. If a specific term or label does not translate clearly, you can always click Show original in the address bar to view the English version for reference.

Q: Are there any parts of Structur that do not translate?

A: Content that you or your team have typed into Structur, like project names, notes, or estimate descriptions, will also be translated since Chrome translates everything visible on the page. This is expected behavior and does not affect the saved content.
